I'm tired of the people on Reddit or X who whine about how bad they have it in America and that they're gonna leave. And none of them do (well, maybe only a trivial fraction) due to all of the hoops you'll have to jump thru as you've outlined. My parents immigrated from China to the US and despite all of the hoops, it's well worth the upgrade in lifestyle. Leaving the US to go to, say, England, Germany, Australia, Sweden, etc. simply because you don't like Trump probably isn't anywhere near the upgrade (if it's at all an upgrade) compared to going from China to the US and as a result, very few actually go through with it when they find out the harsh reality.
