This is exactly why I moved from Finance to Programming and yet people were all saying I’m crazy and that so many software enginners dream of switching to a Wall Street career. And yet, my salary in my Machine Learning job right now is more than twice my salary at my previous Hedge Fund job (which “promised” a hefty bonus the following year at every year end that I have yet to see to this day.)
